When I think of Halloween, I think of the colors orange, green, black, and purple. This was the idea when I decided to highlight this weeks drink. It’s called The Ghost, and it’s pretty simple. All you need is champagne and Midori. In the end, you will be rewarded with an electric green drink that all the ghosts and ghouls at your party will be anxious to try.
You start with 10 oz of champagne. In this instance, we used Korbel. You will add in 1 oz of Midori for color. Midori is a melon liquer for those of you who are unfamiliar. It gives a sweet taste to the champagne.
As you can tell here, it turns a glorious shade of green even without making it more ghoulish. We chose to add an eyeball to our finished product to make it look even scarier. This is of course the one time of year that it wouldn’t be completely grotesque to find an eyeball in your drink or soup.
I hope you enjoy our smiley face. I felt like it might take a little bit away from the ghoulishness, but feel free to not scare away from it.
