As we go into the new year, I know we are all thinking about ways to improve on ourselves and our relationships. One of the best ways to improve our relationships is plan date nights. We know that not all of those date nights can be a HUGE deal where we go out for a fancy dinner, but we also know that we can plan an at-home date night. Sometimes those date nights are just going to be a Netflix and chill kind of night. What should you be watching on Netflix with your husband? You should totally watch things that you love. Some nights though we can’t decide, and I’m here with a few really great suggestions.
1. Chef’s Table
I love this show. We love learning about really great new places to eat and of course the process of a famous chef. We are in Season 2 and our next episode is about Grant Achatz. His story is incredible, and I’m super excited to see it in a different light. We first saw his story on Spinning Plates. Aside from seeing Grant’s episode, we’ve learned a lot of different cooking techniques and about other awesome new chefs. I totally want to eat at this really awesome place in the middle of nowhere Demark thanks to this show.
2. White Rabbit Project
This is a show that spins off from Mythbusters. It’s a show where they rank the greatest inventions, heists, and more in this series. It’s from the same people who produced Mythbusters so I’m sure you can imagine that fun things they’ll get into. My husband is super excited about it so it makes it a great date night show for us.
3. Muscle Shoals
This is a great documentary about the musical history of Muscle Shoals, Al. You’ll remember hearing about this town in the famous song Sweet Home Alabama. It has the famous Fame Studios where musicians have flocked for decades. This documentary is Grammy nominated so it’s freaking incredible.
4. Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown
If you have a little bit of wanderlust, this is the perfect show for you. We use it to look at awesome new destinations and practically plan vacations. The Cuba episode is one of my personal favorites. I’m a sucker for Cuban food ya’ll.
5. Dana Carvey Straight White Male, 60.
I’m seriously obsessed with Dana Carvey so for me this is a can’t miss. He’s hilarious, am I right?
