As I get older, I know more and more people who are either having difficulty getting pregnant or suffer through high-risk pregnancies. There is nothing that brings me back to reality harder on the days when I’m feeling like I can’t even. I know that it’s not my fault, but I also know I could feel the guilt piling up for how easy of a time I was having. I think it’s okay to feel that way every once in awhile. It’s also okay to realize that you don’t have all the answers for your friends. You can be there to listen to them, but you can’t really live in their shoes. I have good news now, though because you can refer them to talk to my dear friend Parijat Deshpande.
Parijat is a perinatal wellness expert. She teaches women in high-risk pregnancies how to best deal with their situations.
