We all know that pampering ourselves is important. It’s an important part of self-care. We often forget about it, though. Every momma reading this knows that neglecting herself is damaging. She knows that it’s impossible to ignore her needs forever, but we try to put off taking care of ourselves for so long. Today, we are going to put an end to that. We are going to talk about 3 great ideas to make you feel pampered.
1. A manicure
Okay, I know you don’t have time to go to the nail salon, but you can take a few minutes at night to do your own nails. I personally use Jamberry to do mine most of the time now. Sure, I’ll have a few lumps etc, but I had fun. I love choosing the color combos, and it ultimately makes me happy. This is the entire point of pampering oneself, isn’t it?
2. A hot shower
You’ve definitely got to find time for this one at least every other day. I know you’ve been running around with unwashed hair for a week, but you’ll feel so much better if you get up 15-20 minutes earlier and indulge in this shower. Not an early riser? Stay up late! You find the time that works best for you.
3. Enjoy a treat
Are you a chocolate fiend? Do you like good wine? Whatever it is take a few minutes once a week to indulge in it. You’ll thank yourself later.
Do these seem too easy? Good! They shouldn’t seem difficult. I want you to take a few minutes to think of what you truly love to do in your life. I’m talking about the simple pleasures, and I want you to indulge yourself at least twice a week. You’ll find a happier you, and you’ll find a happier family. We are all only as strong as our weakest link. This is why we must realize that taking care of ourselves is super important. We can’t afford to be running on empty. Pay yourself in short spurts of indulgence or a nap!
