February is deemed as Black History Month, and I believe it is important to teach our children about diversity. 3 Books to Read To Your Little for Black History Month:
The story and the art are incredible. Plus, it is definitely a book getting a lot of buzz from last year. I think you’ll all want to check it out the same way I do.
This is a classic. It describes a child’s wonder as he discovers a new snowfall, and it shows that not everyone looks just like you. I read it as a child, and I look forward to sharing it with Sweet Baby J.
I’ve discussed this one at length here along with I Am Rosa Parks. I have fangirled all over the internet when it comes to Brad Meltzer. Seriously, you just gotta get on this train. You won’t regret it.
