This year, I have committed to sharing my fitness journey with you. I know that not every week will be a beautiful win, but I also know that owning here it on the blog will be a HUGE help. The last couple of weeks have been difficult to say the least. My husband and 10-month old had the flu then my 10-month old got an ear infection. It has been a constant battle to get everyone healthy. This has meant not a lot of healthy eating. I own that though and realize that we are going to have to be better about our efforts this week. I’ll admit that I didn’t lose weight, but I’ll also admit that I didn’t gain any. This to me is a win considering the bad habits of the last couple of weeks.
My major win for the last couple of weeks has been that I am able to get close to or meet my step goal. Yay! This is something I struggled with for most of last year. I work from home. My office is right next to the playroom and nursery. It’s pretty easy to just float between those areas of the house without much thought, but I’m working on moving more even though it’s cold out. I have failed at starting the C25k though. The truth is that it’s just cold out at the time when I could really be going hard at it and that has been a deterrent. It’s also much easier to walk while the baby naps than anything else.
This week I am working on meal planning, and I thought I’d share that with you.
Meals for this week:
All of this weeks recipes come from one of my favorite blogs, Skinnytaste.com. I can assure you that I have never ever fixed anything from her site that wasn’t delicious and healthy. I look forward to trying these.
Goals for the week:
- Meet my step goal every day.
- Drink 2 full glasses of water within 30 min of waking up
- Drink less soda
- Drink more green tea
