Hanukkah is not to be outdone by Christmas in our house. We’ve been quite festive for the past couple of weeks. I can tell you that we’ve kicked it into full gear here this week. Our house is full of Hanukkah books, music, and of course presents.
What exactly have we been doing around here? Well, I’m glad you asked. We’ve been really rocking out. Today, I’ll share with you the Hanukkah music that has made our family excited this holiday season, and I’ll let you know that Sweet Baby J likes it super peppy.
We actually downloaded Six13’s entire album on iTunes, because it’s catchy. Sweet Baby J really enjoys listening to it. It makes him smile. I love listening to it, because I am now able to sing-a-long. What would the holiday season be without great music? Christmas has overtaken the radio, and I’m grateful for that. I love Christmas carols, but I’m also glad to be able to share some Hanukkah songs with my son.
Balancing holidays and in an interfaith family isn’t always easy. The holidays are so different and some are more celebrated than others. I think it’s super important to make your own traditions and to keep it fun. How do you celebrate Hanukkah? What are your Christmas traditions?
Please feel free to link me to any great Hanukkah songs you find. I love finding new ones. Also go download the Six13 album. I promise you won’t regret it even if you’re not interfaith or Jewish.
