If you follow me on Periscope, you know that we’ve collected Halloween books to read to Sweet Baby J every time we go to the library. I was able to review a couple of them via Periscope earlier today. If you’re not following me there, you are definitely missing some exclusive content. This content is also only available for 24 hours so go on to the Periscope app and look for thedahliascene. I’ll be happy to share our lives in Asheville with you there as well! In the meantime, I wanted to share with you a few of our favorite Halloween books for kids.

Even before Sweet Baby J was born, we were reading to him books about the holidays. Halloween was the first holiday that we really read to him about, and we started with Ollie’s Halloween. It was such an adorable little kids book that I couldn’t resist it when I saw it in the store. We have now read it to him several times over the last week or so as we gear up for the Halloween season. We have been buying costumes and getting organized so why not start in with the cool books, right?
I feel very lucky that our library has such an amazing selection of books to share with us, because it’s like getting a test drive. The 6 above are definitely making a mark in our home, and we will be purchasing soon. Sweet Baby J loves the books that have his parents making sounds of all kinds. If you have a love for the holidays and sharing with your kids, I highly recommend these books and I would love to hear about the ones you read traditionally to your children now.
