Okay let’s get real here. We are all familiar with Pinterest and Pinterest fail, and we all love them. Most of us spend countless hours on one or the other planning out the ways to make our life more perfect. We spend time putting unrealistic expectations on ourselves for how our lives should be, but the truth is we’re all curious about whether we can do it. I know I have been for a while now and not just from these sites. My husband and I have a HUGE cookbook collection. We love looking through them and selecting recipes as well as creating our own concoctions. I’m curious about how any of them will turn out. That brings me to want to do this series. None of the recipes have been brought to me to review. I have just started the selection process, and I want to review the recipe to let you know how easy or hard I really thought it was when I tried it.
I’m no 32 and just starting to cook, but Julia Child makes me feel better about the fact I don’t have it all figured out. There has already been a Julie and Julia so I’m not looking to recreate that. I do want to hone my inner Julia Child though and begin working more on my kitchen skills. This lead me to this recipe review idea as well. I can kill two birds with one stone, right?
Are there any recipes you’d like to try? What are you looking for in a recipe review? Want to link me to a recipe you’d like to see given a recipe review?
I’m hoping to consider these things in my recipe review:
- Ease of recipe to follow
- Ease of finding ingredients
- Time it takes to prepare
