It’s almost hard to believe that we’ve made it to our first anniversary. It seems like time flies. I guess we must be having fun. The truth is that it hardly seems like it could have been a year ago tomorrow that we took that walk down the aisle, because we’ve been so busy. I know that all things seem to move quicker as we get older, but I truly believe it has to do with how much we have going on in our lives. The hubs and I have welcomed a baby boy, and we’ve prepared for our big move all within the last 12 months. I couldn’t imagine anyone better to do it all with than my love. Happy first anniversary to us!
These days it feels like my memory is going rather quickly with the mommy brain and all, but I could never forget the beautiful life changing moments we’ve experienced over the past 2 years. The engagement, the wedding, and of course the baby. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions, but I have to say that if the first year is the hardest I look forward to all the years to come. This year has felt like a breeze. Sure, we’ve had little arguments here and there (who doesn’t?) and emotional outbursts (pregnancy hormones, people!), but for the most part we’ve had an even keel of a year. We’ve taken all the little issues in stride. We’ve managed to love one another through all the little daily defeats. Happy first anniversary to us!
I don’t have advice on how to survive the first year of marriage while doing the three most stressful things any couple can do, but I do know that it can be done with love and respect. I know that it can be fulfilling. I know that we’ll be in a new spot that is just so perfectly ours, and I know that we will have come through it together. Happy first anniversary to us!
I don’t call my husband my best friend, because he’s so much more than that ya’ll. I don’t feel like best friend is the word, and I do have a best friend or two. I know that he is the love of my life though. He’s the guy who has his patience worn thin by my frantic ways, but he’s still there with a plan. He’s the guy who slays dragons and checks out all those spooky sounds around the house. He’s the guy who got up from a dead sleep to the doorbell ringing at 11PM, because I’d forgotten to shut the garage door. He’s the guy that is there no matter how crazy I or my ideas get so I’m glad to be celebrating this paper anniversary with him. Happy first anniversary to us!
I know that even when I’m too old to remember what I want him for that I’ll always want him, because he’s the best. The blueberry donuts I had in bed last weekend prove it! Plus, he puts up with me daily. I love you, beeble. I can’t wait to spend another bajillion years together. Happy first anniversary to us!
