Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and I know many of you are probably still thinking about what to get the special moms in your lives. Well I’m here with a few helpful ideas to save you this Mother’s Day. I believe that Mother’s Day gifts should be something special that link the mother and child relationship so I came up with a few ideas that I knew would do just that in our household. Gift mom the gift that keeps on giving with a subscription to Netflix. She’ll be able to use this gift to watch all her favorite movies and television shows on demand. Plus, you’ll be able to watch as a family. I personally use Netflix every day. My son isn’t allowed to have screen time yet, but I know we’ll be using the Netflix kids feature in the future as well so we’ll be able to create many memories of learning and family time. This will make her Mother’s Day even better if you let her have a little free time to watch something she’s been dying to see. I’ll share what I’m watching on Netflix soon!
The Kindle Paperwhite is a must for any avid reader. I have a Kindle touch personally, but I look forward to upgrading someday to the Paperwhite. I think it’s just fabulous. My son and I have been reading, A Bear Called Paddington (Paddington Bear) together. I’ve been reading, Still Alice myself. I love reading a chapter book like A Bear Called Paddington with Sweet Baby J right now, because he likes when I read to him, but he’s not quite interacting with books yet. We have tons of board and picture books in the wings waiting on him to be ready for it though! The Paperwhite allows her to both have me time and to share it with her child thus making it a perfect dual purpose Mother’s Day gift.
Sweet Baby J requires multiple walks a day, and these can make a momma very thirsty so this is a perfect gift for me. The truth is that sometimes you just want a different flavor when you’re drinking a certain beverage all the time. I think this would also be a perfect gift for any active mom on your list. She’ll love being able to create new flavors and she’ll have a new way to enjoy fresh fruit! It’s the Mother’s Day gift that gives a little back every day.
Isabelle Grace is a great way to give mom a piece of jewelery that will last a lifetime. It’s the kind of piece that allows her to keep her children close to her heart all the time, and it’s beautiful. You’ve probably seen it on the likes of Ali Landry or Alyson Hannigan, and I know I’ve coveted one for a while. I now have a reason for it! I hope to see Sweet Baby J’s name immortalized on this stunning piece! This is a Mother’s Day dream come true.
My son received Guess How Much I Love You for Easter, and we love it. The reason I bring it up is because it makes this necklace yet another perfect Mother’s Day gift. At the end of the book the baby says he loves his mom all the way to the moon and as he’s falling asleep for the night the mom says she loves him to the moon and back. Sweet Baby J and I read this book multiple times after he received it for Easter so I think this necklace goes on the list of must haves for Mother’s Day.
Mother’s Day doesn’t have to be over the top or difficult to plan for, but it should bring back memories year after year. My other suggestions are getting mom things that allow her to create new memories with her children be it movie tickets or passes to the zoo. Plus, I also recommend giving her an extra hour or two of sleep, because trust me she needs it!
