This post is not sponsored by Rent The Runway, but I want you to know how often this site has saved my butt. It all started when I needed a fancy dress to wear to the Grammy’s one year and it was definitely a memorable night. That got me hooked on Rent The Runway immediately. Now it’s my go to site when I’m not looking to buy a new dress, but I need a fresh look. I knew that these last few days with Passover and Easter it was going to be important to look good and feel good about my 5 week post partum body so it made perfect sense to turn to Rent The Runway. It wasn’t easy to admit that at least for now I have a very different body shape than the clothes in my closet would suggest, but it was easy to find a solution.
Sweet Baby J had a pink and navy ensemble so the rest of the family was going to at least be sporting pink to match. I had in mind that I would be taking photos of us together to commemorate the moment after all. As you can see, we got one photo out of it. It’s not exactly easy to get a 5 week old to cooperate, but it is slightly easier than it will be in a few months I suppose. The truth is that a little food goes a long way for the little guy. He was golden for 1 photo and the outtake isn’t too bad either except daddy was leaning a little to the right. We will get this down pat eventually.
Anyway, I picked this gorgeous Nannette Lepore dress from Rent The Runway, and I felt gorgeous. It had a nice fit and was true to size. So I highly recommend Rent The Runway for you when you don’t want to buy a dress or you’re looking for something more dressy for a one time occasion. I even rented for my wedding.
I hope everyone had a Happy Easter and a Happy Passover. I know we did here. Sweet Baby J got his first Easter basket! He got a keyboard that he can play with his feet, and he loves it. It took him a little bit to get the hang of it, but it’s a real winner now.
What was in your Easter basket?
