It’s so hard to believe that it’s already February. It seems like I just found out I was pregnant and now we’re almost due with Sweet Baby J. We actually are playing the waiting game at this point, because we have reached full term. It’s an exciting time for us, and I look forward to what will come. I feel bad for thinking that I’m so over it at least 3 times a day, but I am so over so much of it. There is no getting comfortable at this point after all. I struggled all last month to get blog posts up because of the carpal tunnel. I’m ready to move on to new and different struggles. I haven’t left ya’ll though. I’m here and ready to take on a new month. I’m excited to share new things and to go through this next section of my life with ya’ll. We’re going to be in for a real wild ride. February goals will hopefully be met. Let’s see how I did with January.
Get my bag packed for the trip to midwifery Finish our birth plan
- Get artwork for baby’s room hung
Finish final prep for baby shower Prepare blog for baby’s arrival
- Find more people to guest post–I could still use a couple more, but it has not been easy.
Take down all Christmas decorations Get everything cleaned Go through all my emails Read 2 books–I read 4
I did pretty good for the January Goals. I wasn’t sure that would be the case, but I am proud to see that I did in fact get most of it done. I wish I could say it was for the fact I’m putting it out here to keep me accountable, but I honestly hadn’t looked at the list since it was written. I’ll admit that’s not the norm, but I’ve been so busy and of course having difficulty with things like the carpal tunnel etc. Now let’s see what I hope to get going in February. February Goals are goals that I know are going to have to be a little lax, because I need to be able to focus on my new role and of course the new turn for this blog. February Goals also need to be realistic, because I need to be able to complete them so I won’t feel like a failure at the end of the 28 days. Here are the February Goals:
- Get this baby out of me.
- Establish the breastfeeding relationship
- Read 1 book
- Make Valentine’s Day as special as possible
- Insure that all gifts for February birthdays are sent out
- Hang the art in the nursery
- Get a pedicure
- Walk at least 4800 steps/day until baby is here
- Schedule newborn shoot
- Finish a few more freezer meals.
I think those are some great goals for my February goals. I hope that I am able to complete them all, but I know most importantly I want to finish #1. I cannot wait to meet Sweet Baby J. I’m already pretty sleep deprived so I might as well be waking up to the cutest little face I’ve ever seen, right? Honestly, I didn’t sleep well before so this being up every 1-2 hours per night hasn’t been so bad. Let’s get on the February goals by getting a pedicure this afternoon. See you all tomorrow, hopefully!
