Some of you may have stopped by the Marriott Anaheim not that long ago and noticed it had a bunch of dust flying about well that dust has finally settled. The Marriott Anaheim has created a wonderful new space when they finished the $15 million renovation. This renovation touched the 1,030 guest rooms and the lobby thus creating the new nFuse Bar & Kitchen. Let me tell you that you will not be disappointed if you have to go there for dinner or drinks. We live in a city that revolves around drink meetings, and this is definitely a place I’d say to put at the top of your list, because it features top shelf wine and spirits. If you have to go out, you might as well get the good stuff!
I was so excited to have been invited to be among the first to be able to try this new culinary experience. I was definitely not disappointed by the space or the food. It’s hip and modern yet comfortable for everyone. You’ll feel at home except you won’t have to do the dishes. Let me share the experience with you, and I know you’ll be dying to try it for yourself.
As you can see, I’m about ready to pop any minute now so boy was I glad to have nice comfortable seats and wonderful food for the evening. Ya’ll can’t even imagine. I’m so ready for this. Despite that fact, it was nice to get out and experience something new and amazing right here in our backyard. Everyone was super nice and no one asked me if it was twins. It’s not! My baby just happens to weigh in the 85 percentile for this stage in my pregnancy. We’re gonna have a big, healthy baby, thank goodness! For now let’s get to what you really came here for….the nFuse experience!
As you can see, the nFuse bar has a wide selection of choices to met every member of your parties preferences. They are of course super heavy on the bourbon selection, and I know a ton of my Kentucky friends are more than stoked about that fact. I was just telling them about the bourbon tasting room my husband got to fully experience while we were at this event the other day, and they were drooling. I’m betting they’ll make a stop over at nFuse for evening drinks, and I think you should too. nFuse Bar & Kitchen isn’t just a great place to relax after a great day of meetings in the Marriott Anaheim’s ballroom or at the Convention Center it’s also a great place for locals to have a sophisticated evening!
My favorite part of the night was of course when we got to eat all the amazing food. I enjoyed it all. Of course I can’t wait to share the dessert with you since that was my absolute favorite thing of the night. Baby craves sweets. What can I say?Oven roasted yellow and red beets, rocket arugula, Bluelake Beans heirloom tomatoes, lemon nfused olive oil, maldon sea salt
I’ll admit that I’m not a fan of beets. I often say they taste like dirt. They are a root vegetable, and they will probably always taste a little like that for that reason. This salad though did bring out many other elements of the beet that could turn your opinion around on this colorful vegetable. I suggest giving this one a try for sure.Colorado lamb, garlic, rosemary rub, EVOO, Dijon, herb crusted, Zinfandel pan jus
Ya’ll probably say a picture much like this one on my Instagram, and I can assure you that it had everyone drooling. This was a beautiful rack of meat. It tasted so moist and tender. I had no problem eating this, and I would have no problem doing so again and again. This is just another spot where nFuse shines, because they are able to bring a new element to an old favorite of many. The dream is always to get food that tastes as good as it looks and nFuse did not disappoint with this dish. It had flavor upon flavor, and you can tell that they built it with that intention.pan crisp Nueskes’s bacon, Crispy, golden brown brussels, Maldon sea salt, Not Like You Remember as a Child
Almost everyone I know has nothing nice to say about brussel sprouts, and I had no clue what to expect. My mom hated them so much that we never ate them. They were literally never served in my house, and we didn’t try them when we were out and about either. I can only imagine that any brussel sprout my mom ever tasted must have not tasted like this at all. Then again isn’t everything better with bacon? My mom always described brussel sprouts as bitter, but these are far from it. My husband described them as the best he’s ever eaten, and he’s not really a fan of them either. If you’re weary on brussels then I say you should stop by nFuse and try these on for size.pan roasted shallots, Lobster, Lilly’s fresh local pasta, three cheese, open fired crusted casserole
I’m trying to stay away from all seafood right now, but I couldn’t resist trying a bite of this delicious looking lobster mac ‘n cheese. I love lobster mac ‘n cheese. I would consider myself an aficionado of it, and I loved every bite of this one, which was all of 2 bites for me. I’m staying away from all DHAs since apparently they can help prolong your pregnancy. This was definitely worth the splurge though.Yellow fin tuna, fresh ginger, green onion, mango, California Hass avocado, citrus ponzu & wasabi aioli.
Again, I didn’t have much, but I couldn’t resist. Most people know that I love fresh tuna, and well I wanted to give a nice well-rounded review for this blog post of course. The things I do for your readers! Kidding! I built up the chip with a little taste of everything on the plate, and I was amazed. nFuse might have one of my favorite tuna dishes on their hands here. How could you go wrong with all those flavors? You can’t! It’s seriously impossible. I believe that with this dish nFuse could even convert someone who didn’t like tuna!– Sadie Rose local artisan flatbread, vine ripened house made plum tomatoes, all-natural mozzarella, fennel sausage, Cappicola ham, sweet red onions house nfused house bacon.
Ya’ll have heard me rave about fennel sausage before with my post about Michael’s Pizzeria so it should really be no surprise to you that I loved it on this flatbread when paired with tomatoes, plums, mozzarella, cappicola, red onion, and bacon! This is like every flatbread lovers dream. Okay, it might be every pizza lovers dream. It was absolutely delicious. Shh, I had 2 pieces. If you’re just heading over for drinks and a quick bite with a colleague to discuss your next project then I highly recommend you try this dish with a nice glass of whatever wine they recommend at nFuse.herb marinated wild caught mahi mahi, house fire roasted salsa, local stone ground corn tortillas from El Matate, cotija cheese, chipotle crema agria
Now I don’t want to lie to you so I won’t. I think this is the one dish that I wasn’t in love with from the minute I put it to my mouth. It just seemed like it was lacking a little salt to my taste buds. The chipotle crema agria though was to die for! This was the only time of the night that I didn’t feel like nFuse hit it out of the ballpark, but I was able to find so many great elements inside of it. The fish was well cooked and the tortillas super malleable. All in all it was a good dish that I just thought lacked that little bit of umph to put it over the top.Anaheim ale, slow & low braised prime short rib, quick fried onion, horseradish cream toasted local brioche
Short rib in a slider sounds like heaven on a plate to me. Seriously the short rib was fall apart delicious with just the right amount of balance of flavor from the fried onion and horseradish. I could have eaten a tray full of these I believe, but I limited myself to one. Hey, I had to save room for dessert! This is another great bite for a quick after work meeting at nFuse!
Now I want to take you to my favorite part of the meal. It is of course dessert!house bakery, caramel & sweet cream
This was yet another thing I had never tried in my life, butterscotch pudding! Boy, if it all tastes like this then I was really missing out. The sweet cream topping mixing with the rich flavors of butterscotch and caramel was maybe the best thing of the night. If you’re looking for dessert after you’ve finished your drinks meeting then let me suggest you put this one at the top of your list while at nFuse. I want another one right now!house bakery, organic peanut butter, home strawberry jam & Valrhona chocolate
Those of you who know me know that I don’t like chocolate. I actually have never been a fan of it, but this dish could have me convinced that it can be delicious. Of course almost anything is perfect when it’s paired with peanut butter in my opinion. This delicious dish reminds you of the sandwich you loved as a kid, but it has a grown up flavor that I believe only nFuse could offer.
I’ll admit that there were a few more desserts that I did not try that evening because of their alcohol content. My hubs would tell you that the adult milkshakes were strong but delicious though, and I know that the truffles were something that most people were raving about. I hope to make it over to nFuse and try them again when I’m no longer pregnant!
The last thing on the menu at nFuse for us that night was the bourbon tasting room. As you can be assured, I didn’t taste any, but it was fun to learn a little about the different types of bourbons and mashes.
These are the ingredients used in every bourbon. For those of you who are curious, bourbon does not need to be made in Kentucky. It can be made anywhere. Kentucky’s claim to fame is their limestone water that gives their bourbon its distinct flavor. Also Jack Daniels is not the same as bourbon in case you were confused. It is a whiskey that is distilled in the bourbon style.
As you can see there were a wide selections of bourbons to try mostly from Kentucky. I believe maybe one of them was from elsewhere. The hubs tried a couple of them and he wasn’t disappointed. There was a knowledgeable rep from the companies there who was able to explain differences in distilling, flavor, and of course pick your perfect drink. It was a great learning experience.
All in all I rate nFuse Kitchen & Bar among the top in the area. I highly recommend it for your business meetings or even a personal evening out. I promise that you will not be disappointed by anything you experience while you are there as the staff was beyond incredible and ready and willing to answer all questions thrown at them. They were a super knowledgeable bunch.
