I can’t believe we are already in January. I just celebrated my 33rd birthday yesterday. Crazy! January is starting off with a bang just like it does every year, but this year I have other obstacles as well. I’m still struggling with the pregnancy carpal tunnel, which isn’t helping me with all the things I need to get done before the baby arrives, but we are working toward it slowly but surely. Speaking of the baby’s impending arrival, I am looking for people to guest post for about 2 weeks after baby is born. Please feel free to reach out to me at: thedahliascene@gmail.com.
Now before we get into the January goals, I think we should revisit the December Goals.
Get all holiday presents shipped to insure delivery on time. All we need now is the mattress.Finish preparing the nursery for the arrival of baby. All the furniture has been bought so this should be easy peasy.- Plan out entire month of Decembers posts –this was a major fail.
Start using recipes from The Organically Clean Home.Organize things around the house.- Work on getting an article published.
- Prep to create an e-course for next year.
Meet all my exercise goals.Locate and attend an infant CPR course.Finish reading 13 books. I set the goal of 32 at the beginning of the year. I have 13 left. I know that it’s asking a lot of myself in the next 4 weeks, but I feel like I should stretch to reach this as part of my December goals.
As you can tell, I finished most of them. I wasn’t able to look too far into 2015, and I wasn’t able to plan everything out for December on this blog. Those are things that I’m still working on as you can tell. I’m not going to make any excuses for that, but I am working on learning how to better use an editorial calendar. I will also be presenting you with a reader survey soon so I can know what you are interested in reading! I want 2015 to be a year for us to grow together.
Now it’s time to get into the January goals. January is going to be a busy month of prepping for the baby so I know that I need to really work hard to meet these goals.
- Get my bag packed for the trip to midwifery
- Finish our birth plan
- Get artwork for baby’s room hung
- Finish final prep for baby shower
- Prepare blog for baby’s arrival
- Find more people to guest post
- Take down all Christmas decorations
- Get everything cleaned
- Go through all my emails
- Read 2 books
We have started a big chunk of these, which makes me feel better about achieving the January goals. I think that it will be possible to finish all of these in plenty of time to get ready for baby’s arrival in February. We are also starting out January with adventures to add to the year of adventure! Everything is starting to feel hectic, and I know it’s only going to get worse for a while. Organization is going to be super important though.
What are your January goals?
