Last weekend, the hubs and I decided to go on an adventure with our friend David. This adventure was to a place called Frank & Sons Collectibles. This is a little warehouse like situation in the City of Industry. They are open two days a week, Wednesday and Saturday. We ventured out on Saturday, because well everyone was available. Apparently the day we decided to go was fairly calm as far as normal Saturdays go, but I was glad. I was swollen so much by the end of the morning. We were there from 9AM til 10:30AM. You’ll be amazed at the kinds of things you can find there though if you are an avid collector.
The Funko Pop Collectibles are fairly trendy right now. You can find almost any character you want in these little vinyl characters. I have The Hulk as a bobble head and the main cast minus Penny from Big Bang Theory as vinyl figures. They were always warm and inviting next to my desk when I had an office. I’ll admit that I’m currently working from the couch in our house as we convert my office into a nursery, but we’ll have some things situated soon. I’ll look forward to sharing that with you soon.
You can also find classic comic books. That one you missed when you were 13 might just be available here at Frank & Sons. I didn’t spend a lot of time looking through these, but I’ll have to go back again. I need all The Incredible Hulk that I can get my hands on after all.
You can also find all your favorite childhood toys. Remember how your friends had all the cool Hot Wheels, but you were still waiting on just the perfect one? Well you don’t have to wait anymore. You can just pick it up. We even saw the Starship Enterprise! Who doesn’t want that?
After leaving Frank & Sons, we went with David to get some breakfast at Farmer Boys. I wish I had taken a photo of the chili cheese fries that I ate, because they were incredibly delicious. Yes, I know that’s not exactly breakfast food, but it was a terrific end to the days adventure. I may have to have some of these fries again asap.
I look forward to doing a day like this with David again soon. I will pick up a few goodies too. I gotta have my favorites.
What do you collect?
