New Site Design + September Goals

We spent most of last week working on transferring my site from blogger to WordPress. Along with that, we spent time working on a new design for the site. The hubs putting all my ideas into motion. I know that this must have been taxing for him sometimes as I didn’t always know what I wanted or I made him change it like 50 times. The end result though is something that we are both happy with, and I hope you guys love it as much as we do.

The transition was fairly easy. We signed up with A Small Orange, which is where we obtained our self hosted WordPress site. We bought a theme from Restored316. We bought the Genesis framework. We customized the theme. We imported my blogger posts, which will still need some work to look perfect and be categorized. We waited on everything to be available for you to see. It actually was a lot easier than I thought it would be, and I was happy about that.

September Goals

  1. Put together my editorial calendar.
  2. Edit and categorize my older posts
  3. Finish up the road trip posts (This will happen tomorrow).
  4. File for my new passport.
  5. Decide on a stroller, crib, and carseat!

Some of September’s goals are personal and others are related to the blog. I think that this month I will be able to achieve them all. What are your goals for the month?

Also, I want to wish you all a Happy Labor Day! I’m going to a party tonight. What are your plans?

It’s definitely a new and exciting adventure for the blog. I’m really stoked about the new direction. Yes, I definitely instituted some of those changes, and I know that we will be doing a lot more in the coming days. I really appreciated your input.
