Shoes are an important part of your wedding day. You want to look and feel great. You want to be able to dance the night away with your closest friends. I know that’s what I wanted at least. For me that meant I needed to pick out shoes that were going to not be foreign to me. I couldn’t select a tall pair of heels to go marching down the aisle with and then change into flats either, because I needed the dress to be hemmed for dancing. I had priorities people! We’ve already discussed this but every decision you make about your wedding from where to spend the money to decor comes from what is important to you or what your priorities are in that instance. The same goes for shoes.
I am a Chuck Taylor lover! I own pairs in almost every color imaginable, or well at least most of them. My mom picks them up in my size whenever she sees them on sale, and I live in them. They are my everyday shoes. This is why for me I think that Chuck Taylors made the most sense. They were going to be a shoe that I would not only enjoy for my wedding day, but I would also be able to enjoy going forward in my life. I even got them personalized folks!
As you can see they have my new last name! I am so stoked about this feature. I could have made them same Bride or something else like that, but I decided I wanted to be able to wear them for more than just a couple of days. I wanted to have a shoe to last a lifetime. Now I can move forward with my new name on a super cute pair of new shoes that will always remind us of the day we walked down the aisle. It’s a total win-win for me.
The most important thing is for you to be happy with your decision when it comes to shoes. You are the one going to have to wear them all day. You also need to feel like yourself! Today is important and you don’t want to ever think about how much your feet ache!
