Today, we’re not going to get super fancy. I know that everyone and their brother is planning a Super Bowl party, and I want to suggest a few easy to make party foods for you. This type of party doesn’t require anything fancy, but it does require a lot of finger foods that hopefully don’t turn out too messy all over your house as the game turns into a nail biter.
1. Pigs in a blanket!
This is probably a staple for me at any party where I’m trying to get people up and moving around, but I want to provide them niblets. You’ll want to put these in the oven right before you expect people to arrive so they come out warm. They are so quick and easy that you can even get your kids to wrap them for you.
2. Chili con queso
Queso of any sort goes well with the pigs in a blanket, but I find at the Super Bowl people really react to chili as well. You can even do this recipe in the microwave same as with the Velveeta famous recipe and serve this with multiple tasting options such as pigs in a blanket or chips.
3. Cookie Dough Dip
There are many variates of this recipe on Pinterest, but they’re all really easy to make. It’s really just a matter of having all the ingredients, and I’d bet you have most of them already as a staple. You won’t even believe how many false marriage proposals I got off of it either. I landed Love with nothing but the sweet sugar of my existence, but I don’t think the food ever hurt anything.
These don’t have to be fancy. You can literally make something like a White Castle or Krystal’s if you want, but you’ll look even more on top of your game with a little sirloin burger. These shouldn’t take all that long to make either. Toast your bun and grill your meat then add a small amount of toppings and wah-lah.
5. Beer Cheese
You can find the recipe, here and I suggest using a dark ale. You’ll probably have a lot of guests who like beer if you don’t so don’t worry about how little of it you’re going to use. You can definitely pawn it off on someone. It is super simple and comes with the beer lovers seal of approval.
The truth is that no matter what you make it is going to be an exciting day filled with friends and the great game of football. Take a moment to enjoy it. The main reason I love these simple recipes is that it doesn’t take me a way from my guests to make them.
