Super Sweet Sunday is usually about delectable and sweet foods, but this week I wanted to focus on the impending holiday that is Valentine’s Day. What is more sweet than spending a day telling someone that you love them? It’s honestly something that we should be telling them everyday, but it is okay to spend one day celebrating it just a little bit extra. I know that I’m already stoked about the presents I got Love for our second Valentine’s Day together. I swear it’ll be much better than last years Mario and Luigi checkers set. Maybe I should actually challenge him to a game though since I think the box has thus far remained unopened. I think I’ll set it up like a duel of some sort! Kidding!
This year we’re celebrating on February 15th in order to hopefully avoid the crowds. We got ourselves tickets to the Book of Mormon at the Pantages Theater, and I know that we will hopefully get reservations at Ink. Ink is a fabulous restaurant on Melrose ran by the one and only Michael Voltaggio. I cannot wait to try it. If you’ve seen Book of Mormon then you’ll have to let me know how much you loved it. If you’ve eaten Chef Voltaggio’s food you can count me jealous.
Anyway back to the point of today’s post. Super Sweet Sunday this week is about knowing the sweet things to say to the people in your life. It’s about taking a moment to just be open about your feelings. You just want to let them know that you appreciate all the times they’ve held your hair back while you’ve puked your guts up or all the times they’ve held you up when you weren’t strong enough to do so yourself. In honor of all that I’ve decided to share with you a desktop wallpaper I designed with a little clip art help from the ink nest. So without further adieu:
